Saw Nets v Pelicans at Barclay center Brooklyn this arvo , sat in the 6th row not far from Jezza Springer ....even though it was a one sided game the show they put on at the NBA is incredible .....then just got back from Knicks v Pacers , Madison square garden is just amazing for atmosphere, there's something going on the whole time.....did the tour of the stadium this morning has to be seen to be belived, you can get a box which includes floor seating at all events for about 1.5 mil US , I'm lookin into it

If your still in NY make sure you do the Radio City Music Hall tour. One of the most amazing venues I've ever seen. You can do the NBC tour the same day, the buildings are right next to each other. Nothing like NYC, nothing.

Good to hear you are having a good time CC, if you're wanting a bit more spending money get on Patrick Reed in the Masters i've got him at $41.

Not a bad bet. Good luck. Hope there is wind and the winner (hopefully a Majors virgin) is no lower than -12.

Sitting at Augusta regional airport, just left Augusta GC , place is phenomenal , got there early 7ish , so got to check my bag an phone, do a bit of shopping and grab a bite to eat... Pimento cheese sandwich.... It's different that's all I can say.... Service is the best you will ever come across, everything from ushers on course to toilet attendants . TV an photos truly do the course an injustice , it's as green as green, manicured to perfection, greens do have a bit of a light tinge so might be fairly quick ;) . It's a huge complex , lots of butler cabin type buildings around, .... It's incredibly hilly an greens have vicious swales an run offs fairways an rough look to be the same grass just longer, it's much more broad leaf compared to santa ana... Some of the views come second to none.... I seriously don't have the vocabulary to describe how good this place is. Beside the praccy fairway about 15 or so kids are allowed to line up along the fence line and ask for autographs as players head towards the main course, as we were about to go I said to my son get whoever comes next for a sig on your masters hat...... Along comes J Day :clap

Didn't even know they did tours. If you wanna do a great tour in NYC, its the 9/11 memorial. I know it seems like an obvious thing to do, but it really was absolutely sensational (in a sad way). Employees are relatives of victims, it takes you underground to where the last remnants of the WTC still intact, plus parts of the buildings, planes etc recovered from the day are on display. Probably the best tour I have ever done in my life. Amazingly well done.

Didn't do the tour but I was there for the 9th anniversary memorial. It was very strange atmostphere. So many conspiracy kooks out in force, peacenicks, racists, Amish choirs, UK Nazis, you name it. All were tolerated peacefully. the feeling I got, and speaking to New Yorkers was they were over it and wanted to move on.

Loved NY, loved LA more though. I wish Australia could do the effortless, non-wanky, good vibe bars and restuarants like the US, but with decent wages. Here we make a big song and dance about it, over there they just do it.

I was there just 8 months after in May 2002 and was definitely quiet and vulnerable. Nearly every street and building had tight security. Couldn't get into Wall Street.

The best way to tour is what I did....get on the Subway and experience it yourself. Go to Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens....read the graffiti, smell the smoke in the air, buy a greasy burger at one of the cheap cafes.

The only formal bus tour I did was through Harlem and weren't allowed to get off at certain areas (racist IMO)

Going in December. Not sure whether to stay in Manhattan or in Brooklyn/Jersey or Queens.

Any advice? If one stays in Brroklyn/Jersey/Queens etc are you always just commuting in to Manhattan?

I'd recommend Manhattan , central so you can walk to a lot of things , though it's easy to commute to any of those other Burroughs , I'd imagine it would become a bit painful commuting everyday, highly recommend the New York Pass , gets you on to the big bus hop on hop off for 2 days which is a great way too see the island first and then gets you into all attractions , also helps you jump the que.

Would try an spend atleast a week there, so much to do, pblic transport is great as is uber, each to there own but I loved the street foods , pizza bars. Madison square garden tour was fantastic

Tigertim, stay in Midtown Manhattan although it's a little more pricey there (you'll be looking at $300 per night+ for anything half decent). I stayed on west 39th st (near 7th ave) and the location was absolutely perfect.

I've stayed in Brooklyn multiple times. It's the absolute best. Only about a 15 minute train into Manhattan.

Cheap food everywhere, things to do and not quite the hustle of Manhattan.
