Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

I'm seeing good signs with George's unreliable goal kicking.
His set shots look better to me, and I loved that goal in the last quarter when he ran 'straight' and slotted the goal. His goal kicking is all that's holding him back from being a bonafide star.

That, and his handballing, field kicking and decision making.

as in, his set shots go between 2 sticks, as opposed to past just 1?

agree, very good sign. trending in the right direction.

his flattening the curve.

his goal today was instructive on Richmond football.
George tackles an Adelaide player on the 48m. Clearing kick from the tackle hits a contest on the wing with Pickett and Shedda ? (or Ross?) and is kicked forward to a mark directly in front by George.
His tackle turned the ball over and then his sprint 40m forward resulted in a mark and goal. Well played.

Here he is, hanging around on page six, not really getting a mention except ‘he’ll never get dropped, he’s the very fabric of of our club, George plays an important role’ etc etc etc:sleeping

I think it’s time to debunk the chaos theory. George is out of form and not providing any value. Time to make a change. We are at the pointy end now.

my suggestion is to bring in Ross and have sheds and Bolton starting forward at most center bounces. Another hard nosed mid will be very very handy against port.

Hard to see him dropped, also hard to see why not.

Still, I haven't been at the games, anyone who has been at games noticed pressure acts, hard running, blocking space etc?

Must be something the MC sees in him, although we don't tend to drop players in finals (except maybe Chol).

That's the problem with him then he might pull a game like GF day we're he could have kicked 6.

I thought he was very important getting to contests when we were struggling. May have been his most important contribution in a GF today. And then nailing that goal. 3 time premiership player is our George!!!

Whe he converted the set shot I realised that the gods were on our side.

George was shocking in the first half but after half time he was in everything.
The pressure king

When he converted the set shot I realised that the gods were on our side.

He kicks them when we need them, kicked one in last year's PF too.

In the 2019 GF we simply didn't need more goals . . . although it would have been nice.
