2022 Draft Thread

We also need decent finishers & Bowes is a good kick, he's the link man when the contested nuts dish the ball out. Sprint time is 3 seconds flat, that's not terrible, better than average which is 3.07 sec.
Have you forgotten our recruits from last year who will be screaming out to play that role as well as Stack maybe. I hope I am wrong but I think we are going to pay a bigger price for Hopper and Taranto than what we expect.

Fox reporting that we are interested in Stocker, I see Bowes as a much better version to be honest. Stack probably goneski.

Fox rehashing four-year-old falsehood that Richmond was ever interested in a bloke they told wasn't fit enough, more like it.

$ a persuading factor bowes way overpriced and we have Hugo and banks ready to challenge for that role ,,,Interest in stocker wouldn’t surprise , at all

Based on what I heard this week, and adding the fact Chimp is in his last year and Graham a half decent chance to leave as well, our midfield is DEFINITELY in need of more bolstering beyond Taranto and Hopper.
If we have Bowes money, we would also have de Goey money. Both come with cultural risks, but only one replaces the premiership window with an alfresco dining area.

Beyond our retirements freeing up cap space, Jack and Chimp aren’t the only ones to have contributed to creating further space…..

Whats Bowes endurance and physicality like? Could he make a good wingman?

My impression is his shove and rib breaking round arm,

Are both well below richmond benchmarks for a wingman

Not sure about this salary dumping, clubs who mismanage their books can just flick someone who may not be all that keen to leave.
If clubs are allowed too move someone and their salary on as well as a draft pick, not sure they should get a pick coming back to them. They need to be penalised for stuffing things up.

I agree.

Its like poker machines.

Gonna make the poor, dumb clubs

Poorer

And dumber.

Except when the AFL decide a discretionary jackpot is due

We are ten years in with three flags and missed the finals twice. That’s an era of dominance.
Wouldn't call getting booted out of the finals first game in four of those years ( and once by the team that finished 9th ) actually dominant, we were simply competitive, nothing more. Add in the two years of complete misses and our actual dominance was very short lived.
Moggies on the other hand, over the last 18 years I think have missed finals twice, made the 8 four times n top four twelve times while winning four flags. Probably under achieved in finals by only winning four flags, but that's what a period of sustained season dominance looks like.

No way Bowes is going to spread his remaining salary over 4 years His only incentive would be a longer contract at more money

2 years 1.65million. Or 4 years at 2m.
