It was excellent business, buffering his Hawks contract so we were able to stitch up higher compo, most on here raised an eyebrow when a second rounder was delivered, thank Hartley.
Lucky for us it was pick #29 as Pies 1st pick was pick #30 and that was always going to be Bolton if he had slid

But they got Sam mclartey so win/win

Sier & McLarty about the time the rot set in with Hine, how quickly the mighty fall.

Sier lol boy wasnt he meant to be the next big thing
Mr Phill Inn
Perfect example of trying to be the maverick, I doubt he was in any club's sights, could have quietly picked him up as a rookie. But Hine's radar for good characters has diminished over the years, it's a far cry from the Pendlebury era, they have also lost the plot with trade values, always a fire sale and always a ratings winner for those who enjoy a good soap opera.

I remember at the time it was mentioned that the Pies had 'Hid' him and were over the moon to select him with a pick in the 2nd round
had pies friends that kept telling me he was the next big thing.

That's a brilliant plan, no one would have any clue why Harley didn't nominate, she could then make an entrance at the Brownlow wearing a stunning tutu with some yellow and black chiffon bows shaped like a lucky seven.
Grand daughters name Hayley.:D:eek:

All jokes aside, Harley is the type of player who might initiate a fresh round of tanking, I've got Dusty vibes, it will take some exceptional football to knock him off the number one perch, either that or he pulls a Darling stunt or two.

So from all reports both Hewett & Cowan looking good for a debut in 2023, it will be interesting to see how this unfolds when stacked up against Taranto's contribution (Timmy also looking sharp). I guess it comes down to top 4, that will be the line in the sand. Haven't heard too much about Keeler but that's a 4 year project, Lemmey has shown some positive signs, I think he probably emulates Van Rooyen with a 40 goal season in the VFL.

Anthony Caminiti signed by the Saints, there's a key forward from last year, good luck to him.

Great kid, was a tiny super quick forward till about 15 when he hit a huge growth spurt. I know a lot of people who know him and they can’t speak highly enough of him. As athletic as Nic Cox at Essendon but not the runner but a much better contested mark. Hasn’t played as a big man all his life. Still learning. Loves to jump into packs with a run. Actually reminds me of Nick Larkey at North when he was drafted.

Railway Club Hotel ? Don’t say Vlado’s. That place sucks.
I haven‘t been to VlAldo’s since before COVID and it was sensational.

Went to the Railway before Xmas, was just ok. St Telmo is the king steak joint now.

Vlado’s is no good. No good at all. It’s like having a bizarre, cheap, bbq inside your garage at home in the 1970’s, with some basic shitty coleslaw …but costing a fortune.

I think I played with his old man but need to double check it was the same Caminiti, if it is I'm not surprised about the speed.

The mustard is good.
This is what you get for $120 pp. I mean seriously ? That’s embarrassing. I’d never take overseas friends from the US there. They wouldn’t classify it as a proper steak house and quite frankly, neither would I.

Gets some very bad reviews nowadays. Little wonder.
