What a kick in the nuts this is. Everyone loved Tucky for very simple reasons. He gave 100% every single time. Sickening.
Bloody sh*t news. Loved Tucky as a player and was severely underrated by supporters and coaches. Should have played more and was one of the best clearance players in the club's history.

*smile* news, just *smile*.

I know its *smile*, to look for external stimulus, but I hope the boys play for him this week, and for the rest of the year.

I'm in a sort of stunned silence, just so shocked. Vale Shane Tuck, the epitome of the Richmond Man

Terrible news. Heart goes out to Michael and Fay.

Check in on your brothers. Don't say "I'm here if you need me", they won't reach out. You have to.

Condolences to all the Tuck family.

Can I also take a minute to remind everyone that Tucky was a favourite when PRE organised player sponsorships.

There'll be lots on these forums that might feel a personal connection. Was lucky enough to sit at a dinner next to him. Absolutely ripper, genuine, down to earth fella. Horrible loss for Tigerland.

I suspect GWS may feel our love for Tucky

they may be too good on the day, but I reckon they'll see Richmond at our loving best

im really sad

These things go either way. I reckon after Tommy died we were emotionally exhausted by game time, and put in a listless performance. We've matured a lot since then, so I expect the club, coach and players to handle it better.

Have been closed off from any news today while working. Just finished and heard this.
I’m in shock. Shattered. He always gave 100%. One of my favourites.
RIP Shane
Condolences to his family and everyone who was close to him

Tears are starting to well up

I'm assuming all the posts indicating self harm are accurate, particularly given in the news articles they are linking to Lifeline, etc.

Still struggling to come to terms with this one. Completely out of left field for me.

I bet Tucky just smashed through the pearly gates and kicked a rainmaker into forward 50 for Titus to run onto and mark.
