Australia top 3 most vaccinated country.
Both top 3 per 100,000 most infections.

Wrong.

In the last week, Israel is 5th, Australia is 41st in terms of new cases per 1 mill pop. In terms of deaths per 1 mill head of population, Australia is 64th and Israel 70th.

These simplistic attempts at correllation are pretty dumb in any case - case number is also a result of social distancing policies, economic and work factors etc. Deaths are also lower in countries with better socialised/ public health. So if you look at Denmark for example, high vax rates, but relaxed social distancing/mandates and it's high on case rates (5th in the last week), but still very low (60th odd) on death rates.

Antivax arguments are typically very dumb.

The current omicron strain is very much like the common flu now which is what the experts said would happen from the beginning ie it will mutate to a less dangerous and more infectious variant. The vast majority will have mild symptoms however If you're elderly or health compromised you should get the flu shot / booster. Mandating the booster is purely political.

People that are vaccinated are probably more likely to get tested in response to a runny nose or scratchy throat. Those that are un-vaccinated, I assume, would be less likely to test until they need some proper medical help.

I can see where the "statistics" that joker provided have been derived from. But, they're a load of crap.
Edit for you BaT, "People that are vaccinated are more likely to not be hospitalisatised or die from covid".
People just eed to understand the numbers and use their noggins not let their id out of the bag.
Its quite simple.

Perhaps they should also mandate the flu shot and ban cigarettes and fast food amongst other things.

And the term “misinformation” really means I don’t like your opinion.
No. Misinformation means misinformation. Falsehoods, half truths, fake news, false logic, irrational thinking.

As for the whole tyranny, stalin line, its a pathetic distraction.
Its like if some one says 2 plus 2 equals 23. You say no it doesn't it equals 4. They say how dare you oppress me, this is stalinist totalitarianism. Its sooky ludicrous horse *smile* that doesn't stand up to any kind of scrutiny.

What's 100% political?
The simple fact is that vaccines never promised to prevent infection or transmission. They always significantly lowered the rates.

To now claim Pfizer doesnt prevent infection or transmission of Omicron is just another twisted statement being used by the Anti-vaxxers. It didn't prevent infection or transmission of any of the varients, but it significantly reduces the rate of infection and transmission.

The ratio of vaxxed vs unvaxxed in hospitals proves the vaccines work very well, but not, and never did, 100%
The other assertion that gets my dander up is that people deserve a choice on whether they are vaccinated or not.

On the face of it is has some logic but choices have consequences and when you see the consequences of people not being vaccinated on hospitalisation rates and ICU rates it has resulted in the long list of delayed elective surgery. The people who have delayed care and from whom their basic right for healthcare enshrined into our public health system is taken away by this choice.

What about the right to be able to get healthcare, to have surgery that removes pain, to get treatment when they need it ?

This is the consequence of the decision the unvaccinated have made and imo we have a right to be angry at them. I certainly am.

What you want to cancel me? Do you play the Soviet National anthem each morning?? And love your personal attack re the superior intellect when I claimed no such position, but if it makes u feel better in defending the vaxx go for it.
I’m dubious about all of it because it’s become 100% political especially in the US and it flowed through to Aus, which is sad because it is another sign of the degradation of our society into something closer to that of GO’s 1984.
Anyway you write about hospitalisation etc.. but don’t address my main point of transmission/infection. If it does one and not the other then it becomes a personal health issue rather than a public health issue.
Cancel you? WTF are you raving on about? You can write whatever you want, but don't expect baseless and frankly illogical assertions to go by without criticism.

What situation would we be in without the vaccine? More deaths or less? More illness or less?

What is clear is that ICU patient rates and death rates are many orders of magnitude higher for unvaxxed people.
Problem solved then isn't it Antman. Get all them annoying anti vaxxers dead from an overdose of corona cooties n then no-one has to listen to all the conspiracy theories n internet facts any more. Life then gets back to peaceful bliss n harmony once more.

Dan must think so also seeing he increased the capacity to the Aus Open.
Heard that he'd increased capacity to 80% for the finals. From what I saw for the start of Barty's match it was looking more like 90% to 95% capacity. Did that sneaky Tiley *smile* fudge the admissions?

Aren't a bunch of the surgeons n specialists etc. complaining like *smile* about the Govt. shutting down elective surgery when covid has nothing to do with them or their capacity to carry out their work?

Darwinism is definitely on show at the moment.

Average life expectancy of vaxxed vs unvaxxed will clearly show the effects over the next decade.
