The worse trade ever.
We effectively got Tarrant and Norf's 2nd rounder this year for CCJ.

Tarrant was a by-product of the trade and anything he does is a bonus. It's important we convert that 2nd rounder which is looking to be an early one

Nth won't win 3 games.
Adelaide and Essendon will at least win 5-6.
I'm spewing we just didn't do a pick swap.
Our 1st pick for there 1st pick.
We would be singing today

Total overreaction on here after a bad performance.
Everyone was singing his praises the week before against Bulldogs.
Still settling into an unsettled backline and will provide strong leadership to the younger defenders.
Next year a different story.

He really put his body on the line for a few weeks. at his age you cant keep that up every week. I think he is a good get.

I have not been over impressed with Tarrant from day one but on occasion giving him some credit where credit was do whoever for someone of his experience I don't think he is leading the kids in defence and getting them in the right positions effectively. When Grimes is playing you hear him advising and cajoling the kids whereas Tarrant is almost silent. He has to stand up right now as best as his body will allow and really help our kids. If he does that then I will be reasonably satisfied

You can hear him saying nothing from your couch or have you taken an advanced course in lip reading?
I can tell you that our coaches are very happy with what he brings to the club both on field and on the training track

Strangely enough I have done a course in lip reading and British sign language to talk to a deaf friend. However, when Grimes is playing I can often hear him when the camera is close and if I turn the sound up on my TV but doesn't have the same effect with Robbie. I also see Dylan pointing to help positioning the kids.

Balta looked like the next young Rance in defence. Then we moved him forward.

I think part of the problem structurally is actually Robbie Tarrant who's more like an old Rance.

He's no David Astbury prototype.

Maybe the talk shouldn't be whether Jack R is past it..rather is Robbie Tarrant past it?

Biggy, Miller, Gibcus & Balta should be our future key defenders.

Think different Tigers.
We don't need four key defenders.

Thinking different saw us put Balta forward, where he should stay - with stints in the ruck, and maybe the odd run as ruck-rover. Noah is learning the forward caper because if they're good enough to play forward, they play forward - and you just detailed three other developing key backs. He has as many goals this year as Rance kicked in his career, because as much as we loved Rance and as great as he was in defence, he was not a forward's ars/ehole. We could have put Jack to CHB and had the greatest key defensive duo to never win a flag.

I’m concerned, hard not to be about what I’m seeing.

But, new club, new system, hasn’t played a game with Grimes, Vlastuin & Broad in the same side.

Impossible to make calls on Robbie yet.

Might be thinking he would have been better staying at LOL Norf. At least he stood out there with Tigers against Tex he stood out for all the wrong reasons. Balta should be back there.
