Lynch !!

Had some quiet patches and weitering is a good player but geez he's a star. Still annoyed by his All-Aust snub last year

Even before he got into the game, he was competing hard - often with 2 or 3 hanging off him.

Could have gotten a free for holding at least twice.

He was being held in that run to the square in the 3rd quarter. That’d be a free every day of the week if we did that to an opposition forward.

Absolutely, should have been a free 20m out dead in front. 1 of a number of blatant holds that weren't paid. Prestia had 1 in the 2nd quarter, ump was 5m away staring straight at it. Didn't pay it. Dion said something to him about missing it, 50m paid for dissent. So we went from a set shot at goal, to Carlton being in our defensive half, because of an umpires incompetence. Great.

Reckon Lynch should have got a shot at the top of the square in the last too. Ball came in, Lynch was double teamed by Weitering and McGovern. Weitering holds Lynch away from McGovern so McGovern could take the mark. As Weitering had no intention of playing the ball, surely thats a block?

But yes, Lynch was very good, gave him 3 votes.

Still does some dumb things which frustrate the hell out of me as a Tigers fan…..

BUT is absolutely essential to our structure
AND can mark & kick goals like very few others in the comp.

Old-style full forward. So glad he is ours!

I watched the highlights and it is just blatant what happens to Lynch.

Watch from about 5.55 in the highlights and the commentator says "Lynch has got a couple to beat. Held out of it brilliantly by Weitering". Is not holding a player out of a contest while not going for the ball something you are supposed to be penalised for? If a Richmond player does this they concede a free, they don't get a compliment from the clueless commentator.

What a joke.

Yep I know that block well. There was 1:40 to go in the last.

Is this the correct Tommy thread? (mods move in need)
Took an age to find.

As good a player as Tom is he is (as Beavis would say) leaving some goals out there.
He has got a serious case of the yips.
Just have to kick those for a player of his standing.

C'mon Tommy Gun, through the big ones, mate.

He was pretty terrible last night for whatever reason - granted our delivery was as well, but he looked lethargic ..

the 2 set shots he missed were vibe killers ... he has to kick those
